Welcome to our Online Training/Education page, where knowledge meets opportunity! Whether you’re looking to learn new skills, improve your existing ones, or start your journey of better securing yourself, your family, or your business, you’ve come to the right place.

Web Digital Literacy

With online threats ever evolving and taking victims for billions of dollars a year, one thing we collectively need is to improve our knowledge. We also need to understand, at a foundational level, what we’re getting ourselves into when we visit a website, install an app, or add that shiny new tech toy to our home/office networks. With the rise of harmful content online, we also need to be equipped with the knowledge and tools to help us understand the content we’re consuming. This is what our Web Digital Literacy course does.

This course is broken down into four (4) modules that build off of each other. This way if you already meet the prerequisites and know some of the content, you can pick and choose what you want to take. On the other hand, if you want to immerse yourself into the course to build your skills from the ground up, you have the option to take the full Web Digital Literacy class.

The following individual modules from the full class are also available as stand alone modules. The journey starts with the Parts of a Web Browser and What is a URL module.

Parts of a Web Browser and What is a URL

This is the first module to start off with.  It is about web browsers and URLs. These two modules are designed to help the absolute beginner understand some useful things about a web browser to help make their online experience a little easier and to learn about URLs to help make informed decisions. This is the first course to start out our series of standalone modules.

Search Engines

We use search engines like Google, or Bing, every day when we're online. Whether it's research for a school or work project. shopping, or learning new things, we're entering search terms to find stuff. Sometimes, we're wading through TONS of search results that have nothing to do with what we're looking for. This course is designed to help you better structure your searches. Not only will this help you with what you're looking for, it will also help you with reducing your chances of getting scammed or spreading harmful information.
